Eligibility Criteria:
- Submissions can be made by groups or individuals.
- The footage, photographs & digital art must be original or appropriately referenced.
- Entries are to be submitted via Google Drive or WeTransfer.
- Filmmakers / Photographer & Content Creators from anywhere can apply, but the stories, in any form such as reels, documentaries, travelogues, or short films, must represent the story of Lyari.
- Any content shot before 2020 will not be accepted.
- Videos / Photos uploaded on Social Media Particularly YouTube, Facebook, Insta will not be considered as part of the festival but can be screened during the event.
STRUCTURE AND DURATION:
For Videos (Documentaries, Short Films & Travelogues)
- Documentaries, Short Films & Travelogues should not exceed 30 minutes in length (including title and credits).
- Videos must be submitted in at least HD format.
- Participants must choose any Topic/Story related to Lyari.
- Participants can create videos in any language with subtitles.
For Photographs & Digital Art:
- Participants are invited to send their printed photos & digital Art on A3 or A5 size paper, framed, to
Mehr-Ghar at LY-19/48, Habibia Building, Opposite Lyari Town Office, Near Khaliq Jumma Hall, Chakiwara Road, Lyari South, Karachi. Submissions are accepted between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
For Reels :
- Create a reel showcasing diverse aspects of Lyari, such as food, culture, people, traditions, sports, arts, and music.
- Keep your reel within a reasonable duration, preferably between 1 to 3 minutes.
- Ensure your reel is in a widely accessible format for viewing.
VERY IMPORTANT: COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT:
- All videos & photos MUST be ORIGINAL; any copyright claims on social media platforms will result in disqualification.
- Participants must only use royalty-free music or original background scores to avoid copyright issues.
- After content submission, organizers have complete rights to show and exhibit the videos, photos & digital art in front of the audience.
Submission Steps for Your Entries:
- Upload the video via a link (WeTransfer or Google Drive folder).
- Wait for a confirmation email (This may take up to 2-3 working days).
- Shortlisted finalists will receive an email notification.
- We can accept the submission at our doorstep at Mehr-Ghar at LY-19/48, Habibia Building, Opposite Lyari Town Office, Near Khaliq Jumma Hall, Chakiwara Road, Lyari South, Karachi. Submissions are accepted between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
- Include your name, contact number, and a brief description of your reel in the submission email or on a note accompanying the physical submission
